Founded in 2008, FC London is a semi-pro soccer club that competes in League1 Ontario. The team, which currently plays its home games at the Portuguese Club, was first a member of the U.S.-based Premier Development League (2009 to 2015), where they won a league championship in 2012.

Since 2016, the Club, re-branded as FC London, has fielded both a men’s and women’s team in League1 Ontario, enjoying much success. The men’s team finished first in the league’s West Division in 2016 and were crowned regular season champions in 2018

The women’s team, meanwhile, won the league title in 2016, 2017 and 2019, primarily led by Jade Kovacevic, who earned five Golden Boots (scoring titles) in five years (the 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19).

The Club is a partner of the MLS soccer club Toronto FC through its London TFC Academy, offering a pathway for youth to develop all the way from the youngest amateur levels to the pros. FC London’s men’s League1 Ontario team is currently coached Ruben Quintão. The women’s side is coached by Garrett Peters.
