Internship: Gameday London is seeking a Social Media Marketing All-Star! 

Location: London, ON 

Gameday London is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and creative Social Media Marketer (with experience) to help build and grow the brand across all social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and more!).

More specifically, we’re looking for an individual who can: grow a followership; reach new audiences; engage with sports fans and followers, and the London community at large, in an enthusiastic way; drive traffic to our website, gamedaylondon.com.

The internship role will initially be unpaid, but the successful candidate will be given the opportunity to take the reins and grow the position into a paid role. That is entirely up to the candidate and their all-star results!

The internship role includes:

  • Building a social media content calendar (all channels), complete with engaging (and entertaining) content that brings to life Gameday London’s storytelling and various activities (scheduling of posts an important part of the role).

  • Engaging with sports fans and followers, local businesses, non-profit organizations and sports groups via social media in an entertaining and fun way.

  • Measure and report on social media campaigns, popular posts, what’s working/not working in engaging with the community.

The ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience operating the social media channels for an organization, business, group or other entity.

  • Graduate (or current student) in marketing or related field.

  • Excellent written communication skills (no spelling/grammar mistakes!).

  • Passion for sports a significant asset (as well as knowledge of the local London sports scene).
